Let’s show you how to turn your journey to Beat Hotel into an overland adventure (ok, and a little bit of sea) and, for those who do swerve flying into Morocco, we’re offering two festival tickets for the price of one!

So, ditch the departure lounges and add a touch of old school glamour to your trip. Sip a cold one as the TGV zips you through the Rhône valley and down past colonies of pink flamingos. A spot of dinner in Barcelona perhaps? Even take a detour for a selfie with the Barbary apes in Gibraltar.  Go your own way.

If you’re heading down from northern Europe, Paris is essentially your first port of call, as it’s so well connected to the likes of London, Amsterdam and Brussels via the Eurostar. For central and southern Europe, your focus will be on beautiful Barcelona (easily accessible from Paris via the TGV) where you pick up a high-speed AVE train through Don Quixote country to the southern Spanish coast, and the town of Algeciras, near Gibraltar, for the fast ferry to Tangier.  From there, it’s a few hours of watching blue skies, palm trees and cacti zip past on the new high-speed train to Marrakech, where you’ll join the party with us.

For some more heavyweight detail, with tons of hints and tips, we thoroughly recommend the website, Seat 61, which will get you from A-B, wherever your ‘A’ may happen to be.

For those who do take the trip, we’ll give you two festival tickets for the price of one. Simply email your alternative travel route and ticket proof when you have it to hello@beat-hotel.com to receive a special discount code, or to receive an extra free ticket for a lucky pal if you’ve already got yours.

“Well, as you can plainly see, the possibilities are endless like meandering paths in a great big beautiful garden.” ― William S. Burroughs
